Coastal Dune Lake Native Plant Tour at Topsail Hill Preserve

Walton County Environmental Resources opens 2026 Coastal Dune Lake Week with a native plant tour hike at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, led by Bill Kuenstler. The two hour walk covers more than 1.5 miles on paved trails and explores the native plants that live within the ecosystems of South Walton's rare coastal dune lakes. Participants meet at the park Visitor Center at 9 a.m. The tour is free, and standard state park entry applies.
